“Karate has played an intricate part in my entire life. I’m a confident person and that is all due to Karate. The competitions, gradings, and demonstrations that I have taken part in have eliminated any fear of public speaking, or dealing with any situation where I have to perform in front of an audience.

Balance, flexibility, and reflexes are all things that I use in everyday life and because of Karate these are at a very high level. This reduces any risk of injury in daily life and also increases my effectiveness in other sports and activities. Karate is like my Secret Weapon in Life. All of the things that Karate helps to develop and refine are things that let you walk around in your personal every day life feeling as comfortable and confident as possible. It gives you the edge of having faith in yourself, and removes any fears that may be holding you back. What more could you ask for? When I first started Karate I though it would eliminate my fear of ever getting attacked or getting picked on. It did these things but it is a tool that has added so much more.”
